Stalock in net tomorrow will make me mad. He needs to learn how to close that **** 5-hole of his, and how to protect the posts. But now and then he has some great saves, so I wouldn't call him useless yet. Goalie coach...go to work.

How would you rate hihis performance yesterday?

B-

1st goal was pretty bad. 2nd, 3rd and 4th I didn't much he could do unless the puck would've just hit him if he was 6'6". Made a couple pretty nice point-blank saves and the shootout was pretty good, except he had the chance to lock down the win and couldn't do it.

Cant go that deep in a shootout and blame the goalie. Our skaters need to finish

All the goals were scored using non super deke fancy moves. Donato used a move that I wish more guys would add to their card since goalies don't see it a lot.

Stalock was betrayed by his own team on a couple.I thought he was fine.

He's definitely a sloppy (uunnerving) goalie. To me he's the Denis Lemieux of NHL. He is effective, though.

As one member calls him garbage routinely, my belief is that he is a decent back-up NHL goalie, especially given what he is paid. He was an acrobat vs. Calgary, given 2 weeks off.

I guess it's always a good thing to be wanted by a NHL team, but EDM is one of those teams that chews up and spits out goaltenders. Their commitment to defense is sketchy at best. Guarantee that EDM fans will be moaning about him shortly.

Yeah, I'm not sure Stalock is better than what they already have, he might be, but yeah, Edmonton seems to be goalie hell.

Sorry, but the soft goal he allowed in OT against Vancouver in the playoffs that sealed our faith is what I'll remember about him. Unacceptable.

But the team will probably miss him, I heard he's a good locker room guy.

I didn't see this coming though, both Dubnyk and Stalock gone in a short period of time.

This makes 3rd goalie a huge question mark if someone goes down long term. Kinda glad he got claimed still, I'd rather roll with Talbot and Kahk.

Was a good guy for us. I will remember him fondly. I mean, what are people expecting from a vet who makes 780K?

Should Guerin have foreseen that Stalock would get claimed, and tried to make a trade instead? Could he have gotten a mid round pick for him?

Yeah, he and KK's low cap hits were allowing us to overpay elsewhere. Imagine having to pay Bobrovsky?
Two years into that contract and he's been the second best goalie on the team each year. $10M a year for 5 more years. Woof.

And they picked Knight with their 1st in 2019, who is playing well, last I looked.
