After fantastic yr is Russia, what's the story with this kid? Is making the trip across the pond or remaining in Russia? What's his NHL potential? Would look nice with the Sens playing with either Heatley or Havlat...

Thanks in advance for comments...

Cheers

Due to Russia not signing on to the NHL/IIHF agreement, Ottawa will likely wait until his russian contract runs out and bring him over next year.

Ottawa HAS an contract agreement with Kaigorodov. It is unclear if we can get him over, as he has 1 year left on his current deal in Russia. He may become a test case for what the NHL plans to do, Ottawa may negotiate a fee, or may wait out the year, or may try to just bring him over. I believe that the NHL is still working on something.

Ottawa would love to have him for this season though.

Most likely he'll spend another season in Russia. Depending on his performance he may get in the Olympic team. He'll get more mature, and then, hold your horses, guys!!! He has a lot of potential to become a star in the NHL.
