He's scored at a .5625 in his rookie season at the age of 18-19. Make your predictions to his performance in his Sophomore season next.

To maintain his production in a 82 game season he would have to score about 46 points. I believe Galchenyuk will produce slightly more. something like .65 PPG or 53 points. What do you think?

Depends on his utilisation. He could range from 30 to 60 IMO.

Agreed. Depending on how much work he does in the gym this summer and is better physically to handle the NHL for 82 games. Him and Eller really clicked last year and hope they are used as a 2nd line this season and consistent PP time. If that happens he could take a nice jump in point production.

I hope he works out with Subban. That'd help.

Stop with the ''work out with Subban'' madness. Subban does one thing... Work out. Its not a magic trick, its not a hidden secret. He just has the genetics to go with it, he's blessed.

Alex will get a lot more attention this upcoming season. It will be interesting how he fights through it and if he can avoid the sophomore slump.

Keep in mind it would be his first full season in a couple of years. I think fatigue will slow him down in the stretch.

30-40. I always expect bad seasons from our players, especially the kids. It's easier to get over with when it does happen.

The guy played a monster number of games over the course of the past year: half a junior season, WJC, 48 games + 5 games in a compressed NHL schedule and some WC games.

I think I could see something like 19 Goals, 27 Assists, 46 Points. I do think he could do better though if given top-six minutes.

A lot of players regress the second year, I dont think he will but he will be against much stiffer competition + Therrien doesnt play him.

I guess 40 points. (I hope Im wrong and he gets 70)

I know someone else mentioned it but lets break this down..

48 NHL Regular Season Games (27 Points)
5 NHL Playoff Games (3 Points)
33 OHL Regular Season Games (61 Points)
7 World Junior Championship Games (8 Points)
4 World Championship Games (2 Points)
97 Total Games Played (101 Points)

Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Add any OHL Exhibition games and the short training camp they had and I would say he played a ton. I would also say he looked to be getting better as the season went on as well. Don't expect fatigue to slow him down.

The fact that Galch improved with each game this season leads me to believe that he will have a great 60pt season. He also ended the season determined to come back stronger. If MT gives him 15 mins a game I dont see how he has a sophomore slump.

Considering how Therrien will most likely play him as a third line winger, i think he could manage 50-60 points in that role.

sophomore slump...being moved from wing to center to wing and shuffled from line to line...i expect high 30s in points. i do think he will improve his overall game though but wont necessarily mean more points

I'm going to be optimistic and predict a big jump in production, 60 points is very doable for him. 25g 35a

I'm hoping he stays around 50 until his entry level is over so we can get him signed to something manageable and then BOOOM..150 pts...or like 80...that would sweet

82 NHL games is not the same as junior level + 40something NHL games. It's much more demanding.
