Edler is playing elite hockey and elite defense. The eye test and underlying numbers support this.

I don't recall saying much of anything about Edler last season other than that he had a bad year that ended up being horrific through bad luck.

And yeah calling his pairing the best on the team but not among the best in the league is really akin to not giving him any credit. That makes a lot of sense.
