Everybody who was willing to get rid of Edler for a bag of pucks need to eat some crow. He's been our best defenseman this season and now that Hamhuis is hurt he's even more important.

What about those who would have given him away the previous season for Nyquist and a 1st (which became Mantha)?

Good to see good Edler come back. Hopefully he's actually turned that corner.

Continuing his rock solid play. I like that he's moving the pucker quicker up ice again, just a small adjustment like that makes a huge difference.

How was it with that? Was it just something out of the blue? Nyquist isn't bad, ya all know.

after being disingenuous with Edler last season, opendoor's reluctance to give Edler any credit is down right tiring.

Edler is playing elite hockey and elite defense. The eye test and underlying numbers support this.

I don't recall saying much of anything about Edler last season other than that he had a bad year that ended up being horrific through bad luck.

And yeah calling his pairing the best on the team but not among the best in the league is really akin to not giving him any credit. That makes a lot of sense.:sarcasm:

It's real.

Praise our lord Trevor for his massive nepotistic hard on for Alex Edler.

So many people who post here should effectively quit right now.

Columbus was playing Edler really hard tonight. Hitting him with every opportunity. He held his ground, that's for sure.
