Now, I'm unaware if the scoring in the league is increasing or is fairly stable since the mid 90's, or how Hepo's teammates compare to the other players I listed, but it gives an idea imo.

Haapala does have the best recent season for a 22 years old. So there's something to his season event if it's that good becauseusually other players are already in the NHL.

To add to what i said he's also 1 year older than Pettersson was and plays on a worse league than SHL and on the best team in Liiga.

Pettersson’s team was also the best team in the league. What’s your point? Can’t be good if you play on a good team? Heponiemi is also much more undersized than Pettersson and plays in a much more physical league. SHL is not even that much better than Liiga. They both have their benefits and flaws
