Bautista was a 1.4 WAR player this season with drastic decline across the board (eg: his K% shot up nearly 4-5% from his norm). He's just not an elite hitter anymore, period. He's 36 years old. You don't need to paint some stupid "checked out" narrative to explain why he's not hitting. Why would he be "checked out"? Honestly?
