Really don’t agree with this at all. This is very typical for all teams. Adding veteran depth to farm teams. Prospects that you draft leave for greener pastures at some point when they don’t push into the NHL lineup. That is what these players are doing, and that is why some of our guys will move on to other teams as well. Nothing wrong with having good veteran depth in the minors to call up to the NHL to fill in for injuries rather than rushing prospects into positions they aren’t ready to fill. Then when the vets get the call up, the young prospects get more responsibility and opportunity on the minor league team. It’s basic development 101.Well some good affordable minor leaguers, and i hate to be 'that guy' but kind of indictment on our drafting and development. Especially having to go and get a goalie.
Edit: reread you post and misunderstood...as far as the goalie thing went. Agreed there, that we have swung and missed too many times and wasted too many assets chasing a goalie that the org apparently has no idea how to develop..
