I'm surprised to be the first to post this thread, but Mr. Tiger, Al Kaline, has passed away at the age of 88.

Legendary Tigers outfielder Al Kaline dies at 85

It's always sad to see a Hall of Famer died. Sure, I wasn't born in his era, but if you get the moniker "Mr. Tiger" from your team, that's an accomplishment.

Rest in peace, Al.

It was very sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Tiger Al Kaline. RIP. Youngest player ever to win a batting title at age 20 with an av of 340.
