OT: Al Arbour died today

Lost one of the Greats today. I remember the late 70s and the playoffs between the Leafs and the Isles. Excellent hockey, excellent players on both teams and while I respect Roger Neilson's coaching abilities, New York's coach was better. From what I know, he was a better man. Respect.

R.I.P. Al Arbour! Condolences to his family and friends.

I had the honour, and pleasure, to see him play as a Toronto Maple Leaf.

He was a good one on the ice, and, behind the bench.

Yeah. RIP. Remember him well as a Leaf. Radar as he was nicknamed. One of only a handful of players to have won Stanley Cups with 3 separate teams (Detroit, Chicago & Toronto). 4 Consecutive as the Coach of the Isles, and 2nd only to Scotty Bowman in games won.

Saw more than a few Islanders sweaters as a kid during the Arbour Islanders' heyday. What a true dynasty. Rest In Peace, Al Arbour.
