These are the notable long-term 2nd contracts for young 1st liners over the past several years and the equivalent AAVs for an $80 nil ceiling figure

Tarasenko and Draisaitl, the 10%+ guys on that list, were close to a PPG in the season prior to the extension. The same is applicable to next highest in Gaudreau. The rest were in the 60-70 point range Aho is in now. Aho may be better off gambling on himself. I think Carolina pushes to get him locked up to protect against a breakout.

Interestingly, RFA 2nd contracts haven't moved that much since the days of Seguin/Hall/Skinner/Eberle and a ~$64 mil cap ceiling. The $80 mil equivalent for Hall is about $7.5 mil.
