Per Merriam-Webster ...
"racial
adjective

Definition of racial
1: of, relating to, or based on a race ..."

So the usage is proper in this context. Bottom Line: See @Plural's bottom line. Questioning grammar in such cases does nothing but detract from the seriousness of the core behavior.

Bigotry is pretty much “animus against someone of another race.”
Racism is more “a system of discrimination against a race out of power.”

(I mean, eh, I had understood the terms this way since Kwesi Mfume was the head of the NAACP, but that is how the terms are sorted in more academic communities.)

A lot of people use the terms incorrectly, but that’s language for you.

Doesn't sound like he'll return to the Barracuda and instead play out his contract in the ECHL.

Sharks organization does not have an affiliation agreement with one ECHL team. (They've placed players primarily with ECHL Orlando.)
