This is an important weekend for Laval. They face Cleveland tonight and tomorrow. A divisional rival. Cleveland is in 2nd place in the North Division with 17 points. Laval sits in 5th place with 15 points. If Laval wins tonight in regulation both teams are tied in points, however Cleveland will remain ahead because they have a game in hand. But if Laval wins tomorrow (whether in regulation or OT/SO), they will jump ahead of Cleveland.

Another game to pay attention to is Rochester/Binghamton. Rochester is one point ahead of Laval.

damn still no Barber, was hoping he would be back this weekend. Also don't get why Lynch is on the 3rd line and Vejdemo on the 4th as Vejdemo has been one of their better players. oh well, hopefully Primeau continues to look great and the offense keeps going as we need those 2 pts in regulation.

Honestly, I don't think because Vejdemo is listed as 4C that he is actually the 4C. Bouchard uses him in all situations and is one of the most relied upon despite being put on the 4th line.

Damn. Vejdemo on the breakaway, but he shoots way too soon and the glove save. He had room for at least another stride.

Brook headed to the box for interference.

It's a good start for Laval. They are the better team on the ice. Here's hoping this PP doesn't give Cleveland momentum.

Belzile should have passed

He didn't use any of his options there. He allowed the defenseman to angle him away and give him the shot, which the goalie easily saved. He didn't force the goalie to move and possibly create an open net opportunity.

Leskinen has an ability to find a way to get the puck to the net.

Jevpalovs doesn't get the full shot he needed to. So the save is made on another great chance for Laval.

Cleveland with an effective forecheck there and Primeau comes up with a big save. He hasn't been challenged much so far tonight.
