Verbeek's got wheels, man. He used his speed to break ahead of the Cleveland defenseman, although he did stay near him. A little give-and-go between Verbeek and Pezzetta didn't work. But it was a nice chance.

First period over. Cleveland was the better team in the period. Lindgren made some nice saves or else it could have been 3-0 or 4-0.

Hopefully they come out in the second a lot better than they did in the first.

What a save by Lindgren on the breakaway.

Laval missed a great opportunity and then Gerbe goes the other way on the breakaway and Lindgren comes up huge.

Laval has looked better in the second period. The Evans, Poehling, and Hudon line are looking good.
