News & Notes:

- Charlie Lindgren gets the start.

- Noah Juulsen will not play. He left practice early this morning due to feeling sick.
Speculation at first was that he was either called up or traded. But that's not the case.

- In Juulsen's absence, David Sklenicka draws back into the line-up.

- Dale Weise returns to the line-up after missing a few games due to injury.

- Despite not finishing last game due to being hurt, Ryan Poehling returns to the line-up, centering Lynch and Peca on the second line.

After Babcock's firing, Sheldon Keefe becomes the Leafs' new head coach, leaving his spot as coach of the Marlies. Definitely earned for the guy as he's been successful everywhere he's coached, especially with the Marlies. Not to mention a bunch of players on the Leafs' line-up have played in the AHL under Keefe. So there is familiarity.

If Laval wins tonight, they reclaim the top spot in the North Division. However, the Marlies, Americans, Comets, Crunch, and Monsters all have games in hand and are not too far behind. This is arguably the best and most competitive division in the AHL.

It's one our direct competitor. We got to be full organized in how we'll play this game. We can't afford ourselves every time to blow up our lead or doing comebacks. We've other priorities than that.

Staying passive and immobile is in our disadvantage. So we changed completely our approach. And it works off atm.

good period by Laval, would feel better about our chances if Primeau was in net though.

I thought that was one of Brook's better periods, especially after a bit of a rough weekend. That rush up ice and the pass across the crease to McCarron was a beauty, too bad McCarron wasn't quick enough to catch up to it. Just hate that there's a Brooks and a Brook in the game as it gets confusing since some posters on here call him Brooks so when I hear that I think the announcer is talking about Brook.

That was a scary hit though since he stay on the ice for so long without moving much. Good on Leskinen to stick up for his teammate.

Glad to see Peca get one, badly need to get him going, nice pass from Sklenicka on the turnover. although it shows you how concerning Brook's 2 pts is when Sklenicka is only 1 pt back despite this being only his 5th game of the season.

Barber hitting the post, too bad cause man does he need to start scoring goals in bunches.

another nice rush up ice and pass from Brook to McCarron who this time got his stick on it but couldn't put him it. He did draw a PP though. Laval is playing well especially when you consider no Hudon, Varone, Belzile Ouellet, Juulsen.
