Even guys like Jarvis, Suzuki and Rees would have probably gotten games in most other organizations. Good problem to have.

That’s an exaggeration. From the Suzuki/Rees draft, only 9 1st round picks have played at least 1 NHL game, and 5 of them are top 7 picks. Of the other 4, they all have less than 10 games.

Only 3 2nd round picks have a single NHL game, and two of those players have played only 1 game. Rees and Suzuki wouldn’t likely have gotten games elsewhere.

from the 2020 draft, only the 1st oa and 3rd oa have gotten any NHL games. Jarvis would likely be no different than every other draft pick had he gone elsewhere.

Chicago in general has been a cheat code this year. A lot of the depth that Nashville's given us may be getting their NHL shot soon, though, considering that they may be sellers. We have the firepower to offset the loss, though.
They not only have 2 organizations feeding them and get to play the BEST of both, they're also getting the added benefit of top CHL players (Rees, Suzuki, Jarvis) at the same time due to the OHL/WHL not playing...those guys would normally phase in/out (i.e. Rees next year, but when Jarvis comes in he may be on the Canes). It's a mini All-Star team vs regular AHL team (minus some guys on the taxi squad)
