Daniil Dubov is certainly impressive... :thumbu:

Must be nice to be that good/young.

Magnus looking handsome with facial hair.
Grischuk, without facial hair, not so much...

It is fascinating to see the effects of AlphaZero / LelaZero (A.I. chess programs) on human play. The willingness of current players to give up material to open lines is a pleasant surprise and we have the Pair Of Zero's to thank for it. :thumbu:

A little challenge (from one of my games) for bored posters...

Black To Play And Mate In 4 :

Not sure...

Queen to F1 - he has to step back his King to H4
Queen to H1 - he'll bring the Rook to H3 (if he doesn't and moves the King to G5, Mate with Pawn F7-F6 (or Queen to H5) - that would be Mate in 3, so not what you were looking for)
Queen to E1 - he'll bring the Rook to G3 (if he doesn't and moves the King to G5, Mate with Pawn F7-F6 - that would be Mate in 4, but not the best scenario for Whites)
Queen to G3 - he'll move the King to G5
Mate with Pawn F7-F6

That's 5. Can't see an ideal 4, what am I missing?

I THINK you got it right...

1st Black Move : Qf1+
White Move : Kh4

2nd Black Move : Qe1+
White Move : Rg3

3rd Black Move : QxR +
White Move : Kg5

4th Black Move : f6 #

Well done! :thumbu:

Of course, white can lose in less moves my doing something stupid, but assuming white makes the best move, Mate in 4. :)

There's no reason for Black to bring the Rook to G3 after Queen to E1, he'd bring back King to H3. You have to move the Queen to H1 to force him to bring his Rook in play here.

(That's a Mate in 5 IMO)
