Hey everyone, I bought a pair of Bauer RX25s a while back and I think its time to start looking for some replacement wheels (indoor use only). The RX25s use 76mm and 80mm 74A wheels with the standard bearing, and I'm trying to find something in that all important performance vs. value sweet spot so any advice would be great. Anybody have any favorites to watch for? :)

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I see some Rink Rat Eclipse wheels on discount online, but they look like they might be a lower end wheel. Does anybody have any thoughts on these?

After using Labeda's for the first time two months ago (and still going strong after one rotation) I'm gonna recommend those. They are more expensive, but if I had gone with the usual lower end brands/models I got (like hyper) I'd be buying a new set now.

what's your budget? when it comes to roller, the wheels makes a world of difference. revision wheels are arguably the best out there, but they're really pricey. if you're going with rink rat, hornet and hotshot are the ones you want. lebeda grippers are also good choice.

I'm assuming by indoor, you mean Sport Court, correct?

I use Labeda X-Soft Grippers. I like them. You can feel the grip on the rink and it doesn't have that sinking feeling you get with some lower end soft wheels.

I'm a bigger guy (6'2, 200ish lbs), so I use the X-softs on the front and back wheel for control and the wheels that came with my Bauer RX5's (82A) in the middle. If you're body frame is the same, I recommend it.

Thanks for the advice. Is there anything that really separates the Grippers (http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage-LGCSW.html) from the Millenniums (http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage-LMGWS.html#)?

Edit: Forgot to answer the above, yes this is for sport court.

My RX25s came with Millenniums but it sure seems like they're being worn out much before they should be, particularly the very front wheel. I'm 5'11 and 160ish so not too big of a frame. They've been rotated once. Also, is there a particular place online with good prices?

I initially had the RX25s which came with those wheels. Then I had to return them as part of a warranty replacement.

I got the 74A (red) Grippers for my Mission skates since I am 5'7" and 155lbs (they come with 76A and don't give me enough grip) and I can say from my experience that the Millenniums are more durable. It only took 3-4 games before I started having some minor tears/chucks on the Grippers. The Millenniums went through about 10 games without even showing more than a little scratching wear.

You basically get what you pay for. The Grippers are still working for me, but I am waiting for the game where it really loses a chuck.
