Didn't know who he was...until watching the current season of Luke Cage. Had to look him up when the season finished with an "in memoriam." RIP - would have thought he was 79 sooner than 59 though. Even played Cage's father, and seemed elderly...must have been pretty ill when he filmed it.

Yeah, at least he went out after a fine performance. I didn't like his character at first but when they opened him up and let him develop more (which that show is very good at), you ended up liking the character.
