I'm in love with this headline.
As a Spitfires Season ticket holder it crushed me seeing him traded to Barrie.
I don't see a way he doesn't make it to the NHL, he won't be a top 6 scorer anytime soon but he takes pride in his defensive game. He's a great skater who has creativity with the puck. Hes a leader and a winner. He can play all forward slots and is an ace on the draw.
He's great in the community and is just a down to earth guy. I'm so happy Ottawa got around to signing this guy as he is by far and away my favourite player to ever play in the OHL.

He'll fit right in on the 4th line with Burrows and Thompson.

BUCKLE. UP.

I tried to keep an eye on Brown last season, and Luchuk impressed me a lot in the games I watched, and that was before he broke out this season.

He's pretty feisty for his size, and works hard out there. Decent skill, but what impressed me the most about him was his shot. Kid has a rocket of a wrister.

Again, not sure if he'll be an NHLer, but he's a free prospect. Great signing.

Can he skate

Edit: like is he a + skater. WHY was he undrafted. What went wrong. WHAts going right now

Here's the closest think to a write up I could find on him;
Luchuk is a plus skater with great hockey sense, who protects the puck well and has good hands in tight. The big issue is that he lacks size and doesn’t quite have the offensive production to balance out that concern.

btw, I think he was a training camp invite for Vancouver.

Does "+ skater" or "plus skater" in this context just mean on the + side of +/-, is it referring to skating technique, or something else?

I know nothing about the guy, but based on the descriptions it sounds like he could one day replace Pageau in our bottom 6?

Pierre just won me over. Dorion just redeemed himself. Big boy tough as heck all 5'10" 184 1/2 lbs of him. This makes up for all the bad signings. Apparently this was a hard negotiation the kid held out for a $100 signing bonus but Pierre from Orleans got him down to $50. Good job!!!!

EDIT:
Anybody found a Boucher connection yet?

No downside, lets's hope he isn't just another 20 year old in junior.

"Most" of these guys usually struggle, lets hope Luchuk can carve a career out.

I don't know much about him other than the Windsor games I've watched, and I never looked for him those times.
