Not the end of the world but would have been nice to see what he could do at the NHL level.

Do the Leafs retain his rights?

What a weird move for him. I guess he got a lot of money? Really didn't expect it.

I would like to take some credit. I didn't predict this, but he was on the list of "ifs" that many fans can cross off now.

Told you fools he wouldnt be a 4th line player. He knew what was coming. Needs to be somewhat effective in the faceoff dot.

This probably just means he got a really good deal over there. This doesn't mean he didn't want to join the NHL cause he was stuck in the AHL, at least that's how it looks to me.

Just follow the money.

Kudos to the poster who sniffed this out earlier this week.

Yep, all the credit to that poster, I don't want to @ him but he knows who he is, I'll give him credit if he wants though (just PM me) because I think he got some crap about it when he shouldn't have, especially because he was just relaying his experiences/interactions diplomatically.

Shame, but not totally unexpected.

He came over to play in the NHL not the minors.

I'd say he got offered a crap ton of money as well to go back

I pencilled him in as a potential 4LW on our NHL team but I don't think he's a huge loss
