Thought we’d revisit this now that the seasons almost over and see how these players have done in the NFL. By far the most productive AAF player to come to the NFL has been Mike Purcell, who has recently become the Broncos starting NT, playing in every game starting in Week 5, starting half of them.

Played for the 49ers from 2013-16 starting a few games, and bounced around various practice squads and camp rosters in 2017 and 2018 before playing for the Salt Lake Stallions earlier this year.

Other notable players are Garrett Gilbert (Orlando Apollos) who is Mayfield’s backup in Cleveland, and Greg Ward (San Antonio Commanders) who has recently come on for the Eagles in wake of their WR injuries. Was hoping to see more success stories though, which is a bit disappointing (even though it was unlikely)
