Your team is down by 1 goal with 2 minutes left. You have an offensive zone faceoff.

Do you start the play with your goalie pulled, or tell the goalie to only leave his spot if the team wins the faceoff?

Why?

Leave the goalie at the blueline
but it depends on a few things like how much time left and the faceoff matchup.
And why because a clean faceoff and a organised d can easily clear it with a clean faceoff. Leaving the goalie at the blueline gives you the best of both worlds imo

Depends on how important the game is.

Must win

Pull the goalie off the bat, otherwise I like to think Carey Price can skate pretty quick to the bench. Especially from the blueline.

I put Desharnais at the dot to make sure he loses the faceoff just to put my plan in jeopardy.

Goalie in the slot. Bench if we get possession, back in the net if the opposing team attacks. Have my team be ultra aggressive on the puck in the zone if we don't get possession off the faceoff. What do you have to lose?
