Heck of a first year congrats, happy to see this thread and learn a lot, I'm coming down this July 5th weekend for a bachelor party. Thanks for all the free info in this thread.

Random question best means of getting from the airport to the excalibur hotel, uber the best bet or is there some free shuttles or such?
No free shuttles. There are airport shuttles, but the umber of stops you may endure before getting to yours is a pain. Uber will cost you less than 10 bucks plus tip.

Best website to get show tickets from?

We are going to Reba/Brooks and Dunn on Wednesday the 22nd but that's the only show we've booked so far.

Will be in Vegas soon and interested in anywhere to eat or drink that won't break the wallet. I heard the drink prices were really high, and that you MIGHT be able to get drinks for free if you're gambling (although I say MIGHT because I saw that casinos were stopping this practice)

Any other recommendations are appreciated.

There are a few "dinner shows" where you get a meal and entertainment that seem a lot less than having dinner at restaurant and then buying ticket to a show.

Harrah's: Menopause, the Musical starring Cindy Williams (of Laverne and Shirley)
The D: Marriage can be Murder (solve a murder mystery)

Some properties have lights or whatever to tell the bartender when you've played enough for another comped drink in the video poker machines at the little casino bars but that is the extent of any clampdown on free drinks. You don't even need to put any money in a slot to get a drink.

If you're trying not to "break the wallet", Vegas isn't the vacation spot for you. You need to spend money to enjoy yourself here. Nothing is cheap on the strip. Some people might suggest hanging out in a place like Ellis Island or Casino Royale, but if you did that, you'd leave here with the worst impression of this town.

Bottom line, this city exists for one reason, to make money on tourists. There's no way around it.

Thanks all for your help, I'll continue doing research. I hear Tacos El Gordo is pretty good which is near the Strip hotel we're staying at.

If you have a car, try to go to their Cheyenne location due to the crazy business of the one on the strip

Thanks for this, yeah I realized this after doing more research. Hitting up Bacchanal and Wicked Spoon and both are fairly expensive but it's Vegas, so I decided to loosen up the budget a little.

I'm coming later this week, can't wait. :D

Those places are fairly cheap overall. Maybe pricey for a buffet, but still a lot cheaper than going to a top restaurant here where you can easily spend $200 or more per person if you really wanted to experience world class cuisine. I get a lot of friends that come up here asking where's the best place for the money and it's hard to give them a good answer. You get what you pay for here. There's a lot of good places that aren't too expensive, but if you want to experience something incredible, you will have to pay for it.
