Yay fellow Queen fan! No I'm just saying Crosby could have done it better:laugh: and since I'm a Queen fan, I feel like I'm entitled to say "they could have done this and that" just like how we comment our Lightning game.
They could have used more of their music, not only famous ones. Just like this song. So many good stuff from them.

You should definitely watch it. I don't want to give you any more spoilers :)
I still think "neutral audience" may enjoy it more as it is. They constantly showed weeping faces of the audience on TV to tell you how great the movie is.
I truly appreciate they made the movie like this though. I really do. I love Queen. I love Freddie.
Thanks frand, I'll definitely try to watch it. Cinema recommended or is it okay to watch at home?

My mother was the big Queen fan in the family. She introduced my sister and me to the band by playing it in the car any chance she got when we were kids (driving to school, grocery shopping etc.). What an awesome band!

Cinema! You got no choice here. Unless you have a mega screen at home, that is!

Freddie couldn't wait for me to grow older enough to attend their concert, so I remember listening to their live concert CD many times and thought: Wow is this how a live rock concert sounds like?? How I wish I was there!!

They have a quite dynamic live concert scene so yeah, if you want to be part of it, why not watch it at the cinema? They use real Freddie's voice anyway:popcorn:

Cool mom. Freddie and his band must be proud of her!

I almost put this in the Around the NHL thread, but it's too OT to really fit there.

Ryan Reaves tweeted two days ago that he doesn't agree with the push to get the animated Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer banned (because Rudolph was bullied).

On the bullying aspect, I agree with Reaves, but Rudolph only gets accepted once he's considered useful, and that's the other aspect of this. I don't think it's meant to be read that way, but there's a streak of cynicism over latest capitalism that changes how I think it's perceived now. Death of the author and all that.

Is this just an attempt to revive a dead game? From what I've heard CS GO is not doing too well recently.
Probably. They've probably figured that they've just about sold all of the copies that they're going to (it did come out about 6.5 years ago), so change monetization models and squeeze everything out of that.

Puzzle Montage Art by Tim Klein

A jigsaw puzzle manufacturer typically uses the same die-cut pattern for many different puzzles. This makes the pieces interchangeable, so I sometimes find that I can combine portions from two or more puzzles to make a surreal "puzzle montage" that the manufacturer never imagined. I take great pleasure in discovering such strange images lying shattered, sometimes for decades, within the cardboard boxes of ordinary mass-produced puzzles.

The Geminids meteor shower is currently happening, and the peak viewing happens tomorrow night, although you can already see plenty of them if you look in the right spot. It doesn't have to be pitch black either; you can be in the city. It does need to be a fairly clear sky though, obviously.

Here's a site with an interactive sky map that shows the Gemini constellation, and the area near it to focus on to see the most action. Ideal viewing times are from midnight - 4am. You can click on the "live" button then click on the 360 degrees icon, and point your phone towards the sky (like you're looking through your phone at the sky) to find the right area. There's an arrow pointing in the direction of it (to help find it), and a yellow circle on the main spot they're originating from. Pretty cool, saw some last night. Make sure to put in your city to effectively use the map..

Just ran into Stamkos, McDonagh, Miller and Coburn at a restaurant downtown, didn't want to intrude but cool to see them in person.
I never see hockey players in the city here. Some Caps live in my neighborhood so I'll bump into them at Starbucks or 7-11, but I never go anywhere cool in DC to see visiting players and who the f*** wants to see the Caps anyway?

I know people who run into Flames and visiting players all the time but none of my buddies have ever met a Lightning player before.

I was in DC this summer again nice place
