Yes.. Some people seem to believe that someone who didn't make, or wasn't impressive in the NHL at one point is automatically a "BUST", and that a player could never improve after leaving the NHL.

Because of the composition of an NHL hockey team (combination of scoring talent and checking talent) there are a lot of very good hockey players that don't get to play in the NHL, and are thus relegated to the KHL, SEL, or other hockey leagues.
