And we started 2013 something like 5-0 or 7-0. It goes both ways. It's hard to win cups.

How exactly does that refute my point? Obviously that lead cushioned the blow for harder times down the season, you would rather climb from a lower rung?

This has nothing to do with winning the cup, it's about the regular season which you have to actually make it through first, I'd rather not have to make a huge 2nd half push, risk injuries before playoffs and being drained before then but that's just one approach, not like this team has had any effort problems in recent times right?

You can’t play at 100% from October through June, we saw that last year. Yeah, you want to play well, but they haven’t played one game yet. Play well enough early, and peak late.
