Bridegrooms have some elite pitching. Like seriously elite, and while their lineup isn't the most balanced, balls will be leaving parks that's for sure.

The series began with Goose Gossage yelling at teammates Miguel Cabrera and Mark McGwire during batting practice of Game 1 to not flip their bats. When both explained that they were just tossing the bat to the bat boy after their work in the cage, Gossage replied "Hrumph".

This escapade did not hurt Brooklyn as they got out to a 1-0 series lead when Thurman Munson tagged out Sisler on a close play at the plate to end Game 1 with a 4-3 Bridegrooms win.

Game 2 saw more than a glimpse of the Bridegrooms power as Mark McGwire belted a playoff tying 3 homeruns en route to an 8-2 victory.

Game 3 saw Providence close the series gap behind a 3 hit performance from unlikely hero Luis Aparicio and their pen threw 3 solid shutout innings to propel the Rollers to a 4-1 win.

In Game 4, the Bridegrooms showed their "pitchery" side as Johan Santana threw a complete game 2 hitter baffling the Rollers hitters all night. Final score 3-0.

The Bridegrooms would waste little time in Game 5. Arky Vaughan smashed a 2 run home run and Reggie Jackson followed that same inning with one of his own and Brooklyn would not look back, closing out the series with a 7-4 victory.

Congratulations to both teams for their drafting. Well played.
