Giroux, well, like the rest of us old men, he gets by with guile and experience these days.

One reason this team struggles to get the puck out of their own zone isn't the inability to make outlet passes, it's consistently losing battles along the boards, and a lack of quickness getting to the puck.

Slow and small is no way to go through the NHL, son.

I hear "failed to clear" from this team way more often than I hear "lost it along the boards".

Frankly, I hate slap shots in today's NHL.
How often do you see anyone score on a slap shot anymore?
