Plecks certainly had his detractors this year, as have advanced stats.

I think Plecks just didn't score enough for long enough. Also, favorable O-zone starts and grinding could explain the 60% time in ozone. 7 days repredentd about 30 games, which isn't bad, but isn't huge.
