It's dangerous and disrespectful. As I've mentioned before my child has major medical issues, If im in the same area as you and your hacking up a lung or rubbing your dirty snotty fingers all over common areas and I get sick and take it home and my kid gets sick he could end up in the ER very easily.

Some of the other kids that have his genetic disease are in and out of the hospital frequently due to other people getting them sick.

Stay home when your sick, don't be a dick. (That should be printed on signs in office breakrooms everywhere).

Yep exactly. Like right now there is a guy two rows down who literally hasnt stopped cold coughing this morning.

My work are pretty lenient using sick days. Just dont understand people coming in, coughing and sneezing everywhere and spreading their germs. Similar to your child (obviously less degree!) trying to not get the pregnant wife sick. She is limited on what cold meds etc that she can take.

I have two six year olds and they went to a birthday party in December. The birthday girl was sick and the mother didn't tell anyone because she didn't want to cancel the party. Half the kids at the party got sick and so did I. I dont get paid unless I'm working. I was out for a week right at Christmas. Great timing. On top of that, my kids missed a week of school. All this because that c u n Tahiti didn't want to upset her princess .
I'm still angry as you can see.

Unfortunately, in my crummy government job if you have more than three sick occurrences a calendar year (can be multi-day at least) you'll start a disciplinary track. Same with lates. Plus the stupid way that your overall score is calculated (all subsection grading is done in steps of 25 points and there's only 7 or 8 subsections) means your score can take a nice hit if your attendance section has issues. If you have one sick occurrence and two lates, you'll get a grand total of 125 points for that section, which is barely above acceptable. That's why people come in sick all the damn time here, including myself, unless they're bad enough to get a medical excuse from a doctor.

Ugh I would be also! Like this Saturday I finally have a free day to do some things with my wife. Plan to go out for the day etc (someone watching the pup all day for us). Everything lined up. Not saying it won't happen, but im hoping I either have it and it's gone by saturday or I dont.

Yea I hear yea. I guess that would be the only worry. Guess it's a double edged sword. I know people that do take advantage of it, which if caught can screw us all (which in of itself is crazy but that seems to be how half the policies are made)

If it's anything like I had, you better hope you dont have it, because it won't be gone in a week. It lingers.

I don’t have kids that have genetic diseases, but I do have kids. Even if I didn’t though I would still be on the same page as you.
If I get sick, I call out. It’s common sense really. A sniffle is one thing, flu like symptoms are another.
I have a co-worker that is proud that he had never missed a day of work in 26 or so years. When he told me that I commended his immune system, and he got confused. So I had to explain that he had had to have gotten sick at least once in the past 26 years, and in turn other people have gotten sick and have gotten others sick.
He did not understand what I was saying at all. He’s a f***ing moron.

It usually takes a fever for me to stay home. I can fight through a common sniffle or scratchy throat, but when I do I wipe down everything to try to limit the spread

Sometime early last year, my boss kept going to work with a cough for a few days - and THEN stayed home. I got that thing from him a few days later and I lost my voice for almost two weeks.

But he was my boss and I couldnt even tell him to f*** off.

It is a catch 22. I get your point but some are some really tight budgets or are working as a
temp and with some companies there is a zero tolerance policy with temps missing time. I am a temp where I work and am hoping to get hired. I really don’t want to miss time.
Thankfully I have been relatively healthy physically for a little while now. Easy solution would have the sick wear masks.

Same. If I don't feel safe to drive, can't stop throwing up, or I can't swallow without being in horrible pain, that's when I call in. I'd sure love to use my 800+ hours of sick time more often...

Burr rocks, end of report.

One of the few guys who could keep shitting on my country the way he did, and I would just keep laughing and clapping

He misspoke tonight once, said "my mother" instead of "my wife". He is so fast, people started laughing and he already said "dude, what can I tell you. She treats me like a child"

I don’t know how people can travel with their job full time... 3 flights in 5 days coming up for me. It’s a rare thing for me but I dislike it, esp in winter.
