The good news: despite playing the bottom feeder Sharks, the top 6 (plus Sanhero-Myers) was FIRE tonight!

The bad news: the top 6 will probably have to be FIRE every game as currently constructed!

The Hayes line had a fantastic last 2 periods, and Laughton did well too, even if Hayes+TK are the line drivers and seemingly have a developing understanding for each other's game (which is good stuff). The problem isn't Laughton vs. Farabee. Both are middle 6 capable 3rd wheels. It's that this team can't play Laughton at wing without wrecking their center depth, unless we have MoFro. The bottom 6 looked like pigs to slaughter as expected -- against a Sharks team with zero depth -- and that cannot continue for a team with playoff aspirations. Not exactly revelatory. We can talk systems, comfort, and so forth, but that can't overcome innate talent deficiencies. So......figure it out?

A rare win against damn sharks. Winning is fun and so is looking at standings lately.
