Trying to decipher how the Habs have that record with that lineup. I actually feel confident in a win here.

Win this and we are 4 pts back of cbus and 6 pts back of mtl. If pens lose to SJ then 6 pts back of them with a chance at 4 this weekend. I think we have a decent shot.

A loss like tonight may be a good thing. Hart gets rest and should be better. Myers has to be in and likely for amac.

The streak is over. It was fun while it lasted but now better opponents are coming up in high pressure situations.

Insert picture of deflating balloon.

flyers take McDonald out of the lineup?
Aerosmith would say Dream On.

I think its more likely McDonald gets extended than scratched a game the remainder of the season.

You would think that Myers has to be in, but, you know, Scott Gordon

Playoffs aren’t happening and even if they did we’d have no chance with this coaching staff, so let’s at least get the best draft spot possible and make sure Fletcher realizes he needs to trade Simmonds.

A small losing streak would serve us well right now, but hopefully they’re high scoring games so its at least watchable. Gordon refuses to ice the best possible lineup, so I won’t even bother hoping for that.

If MacDonald is in the line up, I'm not watching.
Amac is what he is. A serviceable Bottom pairing guy on an average NHL team. Some argue he's better then that....well one guy does. Some argue he's a total liability. I think regardless of anyone's opinion about him, his days in Philly are coming to an end come this summer. Quite simply good NHL teams don't have guys like this and if Fletcher truly wants the Flyers to be a good NHL team next year, Amac will not be on the roster, that much is obvious.

I don't think there's any chance Simmonds stays past the deadline, short of getting injured before a trade is completed. The broadcast crew were damn near talking about him in past tense terms last night.

not sure why you think that.
management and coaching clearly value McDonald over sanheim, morin, and Myers. the expansion draft was this summer I'd expect him to be protected.

at this point my dream trade would be packaging McDonald with Simmonds just so Myers can get a chance.
compensation irrelevant
