All thing Hexy could not do, it is night and day under Fletch. All he has to do is not extend Simmer and get a coach, what more do you want ?

jump McDonald into the ocean.
he should tell Gordon that Myers is playing even if it means scratching the pet McDonald.
then play 7 dmen when morin is ready.

it's long past time for Myers and morning to be given a chance.

The management should just realize that there's no way we're making the playoffs.

The new management was brought in to try to, though. The difference between making the playoffs and not making the playoffs is quite literally millions of dollars, so they're going for it. Unfortunately, that's coming at the expense of Myers getting a proper look. The philosophy of "we're 12-1-1 in our last 14 so we're not changing anything" is the big barrier right now.

Hagger is worse than Farmer Andy.

Hagger has played more than Farmer Andy of late.

Hagger and Farmer Andy play more than Ghost.

= Hagger is better than Farmer Andy and Ghost, but Farmer Andy is better than Ghost.
Trade the bum.

Im upset Myers isnt playing too. But whatever, its just one game. he will be in soon.
I have this weird feeling though that the organization see's Myers as Gostisbehere's replacement, instead of Gudas/ or MacD.
I hope ghost stays with this team going forward.
I want ALL the D prospects on the same Blue line.

Anyways! im prepared for us to get slaughtered tonight... but GO FLYERS

It's going to be a tough game, obviously. But if there's one game this week we can afford to lose, it's this one.

Feeling like this is winnable, however, or more winnable than a game against the Lightning would be in other circumstances. They're catching them on a back-to-back and won't have to face Vasilevskiy in net, so this is almost a fair NHL game.

Good point. Have to take advantage.

Hextall liked to compare his "process" to what went on with the Kings, but a huge part of what got LA over the top was making the right call on Jack Johnson. Johnson was a high draft pick, was every bit as physical as Hagg and had 20 times the offensive talent, but he is and has always been a bad possession player in the NHL. Dumping Johnson for Carter and playing much less heralded guys like Voynov and Alec Martinez got them their first Cup.

Who's going to make that call on Hagg and Farmer?

Bunk comparison. Johnson had value, at the time, and the other two were already playing. Moving Johnson didn't exactly open up a lane for Martinez, either, as he got less than 15 minutes per night for all of the regular season and playoffs.

Johnson was somewhat decent then, at least contributing on offense and playing mediocre defense while eating first-pair minutes. He sucks, but he didn't always suck as much as he does now, and at the time he was just 24 and still believed to have a ton of potential.

I'll buy in on this. If LA doesn't make that Johnson for Carter trade, they dont win 1 Cup, let alone 2.

They still keep hagg and Macdonald around though. It’s fairly obvious that they are at addition by subtraction level with Macdonald long term; hagg is nothing special long term and really hurting things in the status quo. It’s really irrelevant if Myers or morin are actually long term answers or not. Finding out is value in of itself.

And just hearing some people, we have our own miniaturized version of that 25 year old, 60 point defenseman who is eminently replaceable.
