Ryan Pulock (2 goals, 10 points this postseason) got the scoring rolling with a power-play strike at the end of the opening frame before the Bolts tied the proceedings at 1-1 four minutes into the following period, only for Jordan Eberle (5 goals, 14 points) to tally the winner with seven-and-a-half minutes remaining in the second overtime, despite the Islanders registering no more than six shots on goal in each of the five periods.

Goalie Semyon Varlamov made 36 saves on Tuesday, taking his current performance status to 11-6 for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 2.17 GAA and a .918 save percentage. The Islanders are netting the 5th highest quantity of goals per game since the restart of hockey (3.10), while allowing the 4th lowest amount defensively (2.33). The team is 15th in both power play (15.8%) and penalty kill (80.3%).

If I was a Bolt's fan, now would be when I want my team to prove they can win without Point.

That chance was game 5 . Anyone still wanting the Bolts to try to prove they can win without Point is rooting for the Isles .

As a Stars fan i'm cool with either outcome tonight. So unlike for game 5 where i clearly hoped the Isles would win so the banged up Stars would get some rest i'm just hoping for a good game for this one. A more watchable one than game 5 would be nice.

I think games 3 and 5 showed that they CAN win without Point, but they can't afford to make stupid mistakes since Point won't be there to add a buffer for their errors.

They were in both of those games until 2 gaffes from veteran defensemen. Can't afford to have those without Point in the lineup - they'll need to tighten up for sure.
