Should be an interesting one. Basically have to shutdown Barkov more than the rest. But who knows, maybe another bad loss means one step closer to not having Hak?

Some people actually tried to point out Florida as a better run franchise last year, woah.
They made the playoffs once in the last six years and lost in the first round, before that ten misses before losing in the second round.
They fired Gallant the year after they made the playoffs,

"There had been whispers of friction between Gallant and the front office over the latter’s emphasis on advanced analytics, which dictated some of the controversial offseason moves such as trading rugged defenseman Erik Gudbranson to the Vancouver Canucks for unproven 20-year-old forward Jared McCann, now in the minors."

"“There was definitely a philosophical divide and conflict,” Rowe added, referring to analytics. “We wanted to develop a fast team, move the puck quickly and attack the net, and pressure the puck in all three zones. Gerard wanted a little more size."

Panthers fired Gerard Gallant because of inconsistent play and philosophical divide

In effect, Florida pulled off an extended tank, but hasn't been able to translate that into a turnaround:

2015: #11 Crouse, but hit on #102 Maglin
    2014: #1 Ekblad
    2013: #2 Barkov
    2012: #23 Matheson
    2011: #3 Huberdeau
    2010: #3 Gudbranson (Van) #19 Bjugstad, #36 Petrovic, #99 Donskoi (SJ), #123 Hyman (Toronto)
    2009: #14 Kulikov (Win)

signed Reimer, traded Marstrom G (2nd-08) for Luongo, traded 4th and 5th 2018, 2nd 2019 for Hoffman, Kulikov for Pysyk.

They haven't made awful trades, they have two top lines and a top D-pair, solid goalies but something is wrong with this team.
They have an above average PK but they've been consistently below average on the PP.
Depth is an issue, they hit on most of their top picks but not deeper in the draft.

Wow, a Superchunk song in the GDT. I am agog.

Sidebar: From one of their lesser albums in my opinion, but still one of my favourite bands of all time.

Definitely, but I chose it for theme rather than quality (though I do love the song).

If you had Gost serenading Hakstol with 'Slack Motherf*****', it could be the theme of any GDT!

Quick fantasy talk if you guys don't mind.

I have the ability to acquire Provorov. I really like the guy and thought he was fantastic last year, but just going off the numbers this year, he looks very quiet.

Is he primed to breakout? Just a rough start? Nursing an injury? etc. You guys watch him every game, curious to see what you think!

(fyi. I can acquire him for Jason Zucker 1 for 1 it looks like).

What you got last year is your best hope. It's foolish to expect more out of him.

Basically how I see it. If someone or some team is in a slump, the Flyers will usually get them out of it.
