St. Louis can max at 103 points. So with a jets win and a St. Louis regulation loss the jets are locked in?

Does that sound right?

That doesn't quite do it. Jets would have 100 points and the Blues could still reach 101.

We could clinch as early as Saturday though if we beat the Ducks in any manner and the Kings lose in regulation tonight and Saturday.

I'm tracking clinching scenarios now in the magic number thread.

Let's face it, the Jets are in the playoffs and now it's all about seeding and home ice in Round 1.
I think home ice in the 1st round is pretty much written in stone it is now a matter of who we play in the 1st round and if we are guaranteed home ice in the Conference finals after we knock off the Preds in the 2nd round ;)

We need to finish ahead of Vegas then we would be assured if home ice in the conference final if we get past Nashville

Is it just me, or making the playoffs is not as exciting this time around as it was the first time. Is it because it’s already a given the Jets will make the playoffs and we’re just waiting for the playoffs to start? It’s just a weird feeling.

I'm finding the wait painfully slow and agree it is a weird feeling, but man I hope I get use to it over the next few years.

That's why Laine getting in the Rocket race was so good. Now the hockey Gods have taken that fun away :(

For me it is all about good health for playoff game #1. If we have an injury report the reads Hendricks and Kulikov full stop for that first game I will be beyond giddy.

Well looky 'dis: sportsclubstats thinks we're in. Haven't quite hit the magic number yet (possibly tomorrow), but this is still pleasing:

I dunno if this has been answered but have the jets lost 4 out of 7 at any point this year? They seem to have been incredibly consistent.

Yes. OT losses hide the damage, but they have gone 3-4 W:L .

Thinking way ahead, but if we finish with more points than Vegas, and we meet in the conference finals, who gets home ice advantage? More points or division winner?
