4-1 Buff

Bruins look horrible defending against moving plays around the front of the next. Can't stop the one timer pass across the slot.

4-2
PP goal by Steen from Lauko? & Asselin

I think it might have been off Asselin's stick in front of the goaltender though. Goalie never saw the puck.

Bruins look good on the PP. Getting handled 5v5.

Lauko is scrappy, no fear near the net. Reminds me of a mini Marchand.

ANother PP, another PP goal.

Boston puts on the pressure late but comes up short 4-3.
After the final whistle there were a lot of fists flying.

Boston has a lot of grit and fight. Needs better defensive decision making on moving plays and for the love of Pete need some kinda of offensive creativity in the opponents zone below the circles.
Great puck moving from the D up the ice all game long. Power Play was deadly and really showcased the B's offensive tools. Those did not translate at all 5 on 5, however.

Boston was superior physically all night, but still did not win as many 1 on 1 battles as they should have along the boards. Sabres speed and passing caused havok all game long and the B's were not able to learn how to break it up unless they could foceit to the boards and jam things up.

Vladar look frustrated with the defene in front of him. I would not put any of the goals on him. Had 1 that was a laser one timer through the 5 hole on the PP, the rest were 2 on 1 plays were the B's did not take out a man or prevent the pass. Made some great saves on breakaways, even a 2-0.

Steen(2g 3p) and Asselin(1g 2p) had standout nights. I like Frederick and Lauko. Vladar was swimming due to the D in front of him, He's do a lot better with a more solid D group IMO.

Providence this season will be interesting to watch, that is for sure.

Frederic didn't play. He was scratched with a lower body injury.

There was a tall blond kid that was hitting well that looks like him then. The Sabres announcers were tossing out Frederick all night long, but they have a few guys with names similar to our own.

Really nice to see Asselin have a productive game with the kids early on. A lot of people who have watched him over the years speak highly, so it'll be cool to see how things go with him in Providence.

Also lol at Steen needing one game to get acclimated to North American rinks. He should be the dark horse to make the big club IMO. He could make big boy camp very interesting.

Sabres have some good prospects.

Steen studnicka Hughes Bjork appear most ready. Zech is everywhere. Creating and disrupting plays. Grz like.

Other Notables Asselin - works hard. Voyer a Mcquaid forward. Shen active stick : smarts.

Love seeing bruin brass 3 rows behind us. Love this venue.
How’d Vaakanainen look?

Vaakanainen is clearly the #1 D on this prospects squad. Not. Flashy but in both games he was steady, used the body effectively, strong in front of the net. IMO he can handle an NHL role right now.

Steen looks like he belongs and could get an injury call up. Good skater, handles the puck well. Yesterday and today he was on the 2nd line and second PP group.

One would expect Steen to look good, since he has excelled at a way higher level than most of the kids he's playing against/with.
