Didn't play the final 9 minutes (in other words: didn't play after the final penalty was called), was still on the bench.

I noticed that, too. I'm not happy about it, necessarily, but I took it as a coach playing his more experienced players to try to secure a win. This happened with Zegras a ton his rookie year. I didn't really like it then, either.

However, I admit I have no idea. It could be injury (which I'd be even less happy about).

Leo was definitely still on the bench at the end of the game. I feel like he was probably benched for not playing well in Cronin's eyes or they were shortening the bench for defensive reasons. It's possible he could have been injured (prob not serious) and stayed there because in San Jose the visitors have to skate off the ice to get to the locker room. but i consider injury to be less likely based on him being on the bench at the end.
