I thought for sure this game would be the streak-ender, a team that’s lost 18 of their last 20 and is absolutely hemorrhaging goals is just the type to shut the Flyers out on a weekend matinee game.

The Ducks have been out-scored 31-5 the past six games. That is an alarming figure.

it’s horrifying, I can’t imagine how their fans feel. worse than even any of the death marches Hakstol led this team through. I genuinely feel bad for the people who have to look at their Ducks caps on their shelf or drag their asses to the game they bought tickets for back in the summer. felt that dread walking into the 6-1 flogging the Flyers had against the Islanders at home in October, bought the tickets for my dad’s birthday since we hadn’t seen a game together in 10 years, but it was worse than not going at all. sports should at least give you a bit of escape and enjoyment/distraction/encouragement for the team’s future...the Ducks now are just a really bad situation.

though I was hoping they would get their token sign-of-life victory tonight against Ottawa tonight so the Flyers could blow them out Saturday.

If there is any shot at the playoffs, losing two straight to anyone (but especially bad teams) is basically a non-starter at this point, especially since help isn’t happening from other teams.

Let’s see if this team is different. All of these big win streaks get followed by a 4 game lose streak. This team knows they need to be different and win 4-5 in a row right now again. That difference is hopefully Carter Heart...
