I've heard there are questions about him deteriorating.

Deteriorating? I always thought that Gronk got a little big for his britches filling in when Sid and Geno went down. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great guy and can't blame him for wanting more, but I never thought he was a guy to carry a team long term.
