Yeah I think the whole idea is that it's easier to maintain a high GPG with less games and more "rest". Although Lemieux's case could be argued as not being very restful to say the least.I agree that in today's game it would be a hell of an accomplishment, however, in terms of the way the NHL looks at it they only recognize Lemieux for 50-in-50 for the 1988-89 season, not the 1992-93 or 1995-96 seasons. He had cancer in 1992-93 but the NHL said rules are rules.
