I know people will excuse Lyon because he's "not an NHL goalie," but every team should carry a third stringer who is at least somewhat competent. The talent level between #2 and #3 goalies isn't that far off.

Just because Flyers have only signed **** third stringers doesn't mean better options are out there. Like... McIntyre is the Phantoms' #1 and yet Lyon is the one with an NHL contract and gets called up. Why exactly? I'm not saying McIntyre is an NHL goalie, but the Lyon is starting games despite having a sub-AHL level season due to mismanagement.
