OCTOBER SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

Of course it takes some time. Some teams have played twice as much.
The best practice is to play games. I mean, no excuses. But it is good to have a couple games now to get into the rhythm.
- Jesper Fast

I saw him coming when I turned, tried to brace for a little.
He kind of got to my head, but it is what it is. I was able to get back out.
- Adam Fox

There might be four other guys [the officials] that might be able to shed more light on that than me.
- David Quinn

Kakko will be promoted to the first line and the first PP and they’ll have a combined 10 night. WOOOOOOOOO!

Anyone have the O/U on the number of times one of the defenseman steps up in the neutral zone to make a pointless hit directly leading to an odd man rush? Asking for a friend.

Conversely, do we have the O/U on defensemen backing up on an even man rush, til they're screening the goalie and the opponent has an open shot in the slot.

If basing it off last night alone I’d try lias over Howden on the second line. Howden did not play well and Strome looked solid on the third line.

of course I think Chytil should have been brought up for these games.

I’d put Kakko on PP1 as well.

worried about hank tonight but honestly can’t be much worse than Georgie was. These goalies just need to play some hockey

I really want to see Andersson between Lemieux and Fast. I think that could be a long term line.

Not too concerned with the outcome of this one. Caps D has gotten thin but they’re still loaded up front. Ovie or Carlson is having a multipoint night, I’d almost book it.

Will Gudas run one of our guys? Will we answer? Maybe if Lemieux plays.

I'm glad you said it.

this happened A LOT last night.

Throw hits. Nothing wrong with that. But you don't get to throw hits and ignore that there is a puck out there.

Honestly you could make this same point based on everything we've seen since training camp opened, not just last night.

Howden has struggled, he should probably be moved down the lineup to get his feet under him. Lias has had a lot of jump, it's worth a shot to try him on the 2nd line.

Quinn will probably just swap Howden and Strome again though.
