What a snorefest this will probably be. At least now I can stop pretending to care and pay attention to play-off races elsewhere, instead of Flyers.

It'd be great if they stopped screwing with the lines and pairs so it could be a little more enjoyable to watch.

But no. They're doing everything in their power to prevent scoring. That's why we're putting up 1.86 goals per game over the last 10 and 2.02 over the last 15. Second worst in the league.

When the problem is team-wide and blatantly obvious all year long, it's pretty clear its not the players that's at fault. Can't score much when you can't move the puck and want to play dump-and-chase dino-hockey, featuring Hakstol-like point shot emphasis.

Think of the Devils as a good pre-season scrimmage partner.
Too bad Frost, Laczynski can't play these games.
York should be up soon, maybe Willman gets a cameo.

Start the 2021-22 pre-season early!
I guess that's the bright side of not being in the playoff race. You get the chance to bring in some young players and have them play somewhat meaningful games.

Are the Flyers the only team to juggle lines? Most teams do it. That’s not the reason for failing to score. That’s more on the lousy system and guys like Couturier who likely are not healthy
Of course not, but when your system is already a chaotic disaster it'd probably help to not change the lines and pairs constantly. All that's going to do is add to the confusion and cause more problems. Especially when you have players constantly coming in and out of the lineup too.

The Flyers are the 5th worst team at 5v5 in xGF/60. And the Devils are the 6th best. Their actual scoring rates are about the same, which makes sense given the vast difference in scoring talent.

What I’m saying is: be careful criticizing the Devils as boring.
It's the Flyers that are boring.

A shit team vs a boring shit team = cure for insomnia.

I would say the same if the Flyers had four straight against Buffalo, Ottawa, or Detroit.

It's crazy that Buffalo lost 18 straight games...yet are only 1 point behind NJ.

Let's give NJ some points.
The Devils home record is truly pathetic. How can a team be this bad at home?
