Ok lets quickly burn through the rest of these games and be free for a few months.

You have to embrace the inevitability of the Flyers going on a run here down then stretch and then having another agonizing 1st round exit.

But at least we'll break the streak of playoffs every other year.

Cates makes his debut tonight, not sure who will sit for him. Probably Lindblom or Patrick.
I'd sit Lindblom for a stretch and let him get closer to 100%, it's obvious he's not himself right now.

So our coach is playing a player with zero NHL future because our GM promised him NHL games this season in order to entice his brother, who has a small chance of an NHL future, to sign with us, who is returning to college for his senior year and could leave as a free agent next summer?

Unrelated to this specific player, I'd just like to point out that there's no such thing as "zero NHL future" when it comes to this team. They've been giving unworthy players NHL careers for a while now, so nothing is impossible. This might be the first of many, instead of just a gift.

Cates may end up with 244 NHL games, like another guy who isn't an NHL player.

For what purpose?

The Flyers can only get to 69 points if they win out.

To get to 70 points:
Washington needs 6 points from 9 games
The Islanders need 7 points from 9 games
Pittsburgh needs 7 points from 9 games
Boston needs 10 points from 11 games

Plus, the Flyers still have the Rangers in between them and this group.

The season is over, so now we're just hoping for no significant injuries and for some guys to get their mojo back.

I don't understand dressing Jackson Cates, at all, but good for him.

Sorry, forgot the :sarcasm:.

I haven’t watched a full game in a week now. A first for me!
