That hit Trent Klatt put on Ken Gernander at the 5:00 mark on the YT clip was one of the changing moments of that game. Oddly enough, the two players were married to twin sisters.

Klatt scored the GWG late in the third period.

Things i miss in todays game. Hockey is developed in something like figure skating with a black rubber lately. Especcially when you are a flyers fan.

And i dont speak about fighting!

At least unleash sanheim.
He's 25 years old and in his 4th season now. I think it's time to accept that there isn't a lot more to unleash.
Hartnell said it pretty well. He's shown flashes, but he's incredibly inconsistent.

Sanheim will continue to improve, but he's not an elite defenseman, 2nd pair with Myers is probably where he belongs long-term.
He just doesn't translate his flash into production on a consistent basis, and he struggles under pressure in the D-zone.

Wake me up when Sanheim produces like a top offensive defenseman.
Over the past two years combined:
70th in pp/60, behind Gustafsson and Myers.
64th in xGF/60.

That is not the profile of a top 20 offensive defenseman.

There could be more gas left in Sanheim’s tank to be tapped. As with many Flyers, being coached and utilized by who they have hasn’t brought out the best in them.

Oh, I think he'll improve, but some people here overrate the players and blame everything on the coaches.

Sanheim would have to make a big jump to be as good as some here think he is, given his defensive limitations, he has to be a top 20 offensive guy to be a 1st pair defensemen. Right now I have to see his ceiling as an above average 2nd pair guy.

However, I'm more than happy to keep Sanheim - Myers together, live through growing pains and hope they can take it up a notch or two.
Nothing wrong if they only turn out to be an above average 2nd pair, lots of playoff teams don't have four legitimate top four defensemen.

This season has me starting to doubt if Myers is actually a 2nd pairing defensemen. He looks the part because he is so big and can skate fast (this especially looks nice at holding the blue line), but his puck skills and defensive zone coverage are lacking. Need a better puck mover in his spot and can shelter him on third line

If you pair him with Sanheim, you have the primary puck mover, only one puck so two players can't handle it the majority of their shift.
Myers has played better the last few weeks, he's learning to simplify his game, what worked at lower levels with his size and athleticism gets him in trouble in the NHL.
He only has 100 NHL games under his belt, that's not a lot of experience.
