Ah, I just checked.

There are 2 rules:

1. You cannot reacquire with further retention.
2. You cannot reacquire for 1 year regardless (if the player is a free agent, that doesn't count).

How Do Retained Salary Trades Work?
Watch JR try and the league telling him no, you can't...

Yeah, I saw Mouser's post on it and realized I was wrong. I think the problem here is that I can't think of any logical reason that's the case :laugh:

The only thing that sucks on that goal is that Guentzel and Rust won't get points on that goal.

I knew how to find it but since I'm drunk I totally shouldn't intepret it. :laugh:

The government codes I work with are way worse though. Damn chose your open adventure. Like Bandersnatch but more potential deaths.

I thought that it was something like that.

The weird thing is that I have no idea why the rule is that. I get the rule out of not allowing other teams to retain money on players you want to re-acquire, but what's the point of not being able to re-acquire players that you've retained money on? I can't think of a loophole or a competitive advantage that comes from that.
