Huuuuuuuge game towards clinching a playoff spot vs the Blues and the Oilers kicking the shit out of my credit card for playoff tickets.

St Louis is coming off a rather embarrassing loss to the Sharks, a road the Oilers have travelled on earlier this season which was the merciful final nail in the Jay Woodcroft coffin. That led to the Oilers turning their season around and a lot less hot air generated in the now much shorter press conferences with KK.

St Louis is trying the good old retool on the fly while the Oilers are firmly in their window to win now. Playoffs are pretty much assured at this point however a regulation win here goes a long way to clinching this week and trying to wrestle first place in the division from Vancouver.

The Oilers are in Game Refinement mode now, dips like we had the week prior in Ontario must be shortened to a few shifts in a game versus 2 disaster games in a row which knocks teams out of the playoffs. The lines appear to be getting solidified and the goaltending is looking steady.

Let's hope the Oilers drop a nail in the St Louis coffin tomorrow.
