Nice gallery, but the captions are lazy.

Image 2: Steve Jensen did not play for Minnesota in 1978-79.

Image 13: "An opposing goaltender" ?
Hmmm...I wonder who that is ?

Image 19: Dallas Smith throwing fists at 5 foot six 7 Andre Boudrias is not showing toughness.

Image 21: The Bruin player is not identified, but he has number 22 on his skate, so not that big a mystery to solve here.

Image 32: The defender for Montreal is unidentified -- it's clearly Pete Mahovlich.

Image 35: That is Reg Kerr, not Tim Kerr.

Wish I could see them. Link won't work on my iPad because of the adverts. Whole website is screwed up. :(

Not sure this is a valid list if it doesn't contain
  • John Wensink challenging the entire North Star Bench
  • Tim Thomas hit on Sedin or his hit on Andrei Kostitsyn

Thanks for posting those.

Having grown up with hockey in that era it's still a little hard to realize just how much fighting there really was.

Young people today wouldn't be able to wrap their heads around it, i still shake my head thinking about it.

Every game was crazy and bench clearing brawls were far from an unusual occurrence.

Man it was exciting though.

Captions states it was against the LA Kings not Minnesota
