im somewhat worried about Carolina. I just have a weird feeling that it will be a tougher game than it should be

im confident that @M.C.G. 31 's boys will put us over though. Montreal is basically enhancement talent this year :sarcasm:

Hard to blame you. All year we have beaten great teams only to follow it up by losing to a bad one. This time of year you would hope the focus would be different.

As far as I'm concerned, Kinky has...at the VERY LEAST...earned another couple of more seasons here as a NJ Devils goaltender.

If he continues this torrid play, I would STRONGLY consider splitting up the starts(EVENLY) with Cory(provided he is playing the way he was playing prior to the injury) and Kinky next season.

Because we all know that Cory is still the de facto starter based on that contract....
I agree. I understand that it may be hard to accept that KK has figured this out but his improvement has mostly come from small changes in focus and awareness/vision on the ice and not that he was completely inept. Maybe it took him awhile because he was playing behind one of the best for a few years which gave him limited time. Either way, he has been too consistent to question at this point. If Cory can regroup we'll have an awesome tandem. If not, Cory may want a change of scenery but I'd prefer he get his game back and besides at this point who would take over his contract?

After looking at the puck kk dove for the puck hit the very bottom of his goalie stick. Some were saying they thought it hit the post last night.

You can't tell much from a still shot. I mean is it possible it nicked the blade of Keith's stick then the post? I guess. It clearly did hit the post though, if you saw the replay and like everyone else I thought he made the great stop in real time.

Maybe, but the bottom of his goalie stick is on the post lol

That's not the best angle either. The one from the corner showed it hit the outside of the post/net pretty clearly. Either way good for Keith to get over like that and cover the option in case he did hit the net

Agreed. The one angle it was pretty tough to tell, but the other showed it hitting his stick. Either way, Cory never even gets across for that, his lateral movement is awful.

I’m with you, I didn’t think it hit the stick on any replay but that specific replay made it pretty clear it hit the stick on a weird angle which is why it’s so hard to read on other replays.

Even if it didnt hit the stick, was it going to go in? The post, stick, not sure, debate makes me think it hits the outside of the post anyway. The pic bobilly posted makes it look like it's going to hit the outside of the post.

God the words "favorable stretch" make my skin crawl in a way that a monster road trip couldn't.

We need solid games, and Im almost sure we are going to take our foot off the gas.

If we do, then we do NOT deserve to make playoffs. PERIOD.

If it hasn't gotten through the team's thick skulls that EVERY GAME is a playoff game(even against the Cream Of The Crap), then nothing will.

I'm absolutely paranoid about the first part. Not so much about the second part, I could definitely see one of those 'bad old day' games where we have 45 shots and lose 2-1 against one of the bad teams though.

*insert bull**** narrative about how the owerns do not care about winning etc etc*

i appreciate the comparison even though my favorite basketball team is probably seton hall.

i know very few, if any of us on hfdevils care about the nba and those that used to haven't since the nets moved across the harbor but to deny the renaissance that the sixers have experienced both on and off the court since harris and blitzer took over is nonsense
